I am excited to be in NYC this week and speaking at the PhotoPlus Expo at the Canon stages! On Thursday October 30th I am giving two presentations that are free and open to anyone at the show:
10-11:15 a.m.: Live model shoot with the new 7D Mark II camera and the 600EX-RT Speedlites. This is a hands-on demo where I use the 7D Mark II camera and Canon’s latest Speedlites to capture an array of exciting images. I like this session to be a real learning opportunity — it’s fun as we all stand together in the “studio” (Canon’s back stage and Speedlite arena) and work our way through a complete lighting scenario, starting from a single on-camera flash and progressing to a 3-light setup.
11:30-12:15 Light, Beauty and Motion. In this presentation at the Canon MainStage I take the audience behind the scenes on my latest projects and share the inspiration and workflow from the field. Highlights include creating fine-art images of whale sharks in the Caribbean; creating portraits and large-format prints around the country for “The Farmers” portrait series; and showcasing a new 1D-C DSLR video project.
I hope to see you there!
I am heading home to Colorado on Friday for Halloween; with our kids at the great ages of 6 and 8, I wouldn’t miss it!
