I’m so happy to announce that you can now register for two destination workshops through Canon Live Learning- Acadia National Park and Aspen Maroon Bells. These two places are so exciting for me on many levels- not only are they locations that are near and dear to my heart, but I’ve also seen such great photographs come out of those who attend these workshops. Generally, workshops are a great way to get guided hands-on experience shooting with Canon equipment in a great setting. Not only do you get to travel to a beautiful place, but you can get some truly wonderful photos out of your trip, too. It’s a win-win!

With the rocky coastlines, sea cliffs, and harbors of Maine as a backdrop, we will shoot in Acadia National Park and then the town of Bar Harbor to capture portraits of local lobstermen on August 1st-2nd. The workshop will include field shoots with working lobstermen and a landscape session on the coast, as well as lectures and digital image reviews. The workshop is limited to just 16 participants to make for a really positive and constructive learning experience.

Then in the fall, just as the foliage is at its peak, I’ll be teaching at Aspen’s Maroon Bells–one of the most scenic landscapes in the country–followed by portrait sessions with real working cowboys at a nearby ranch on October 2nd-3rd. In this workshop, the focus will be on lighting and composition for professional-looking landscapes and outdoor sports images. You’ll learn how to capture action, use the Speedlight system and gain Lightroom techniques to enhance photo processing.

Since both destination workshops focus on lighting, portraiture and landscape photography, whatever your skill level you will find new ways to hone your photography skills. These workshops have sold out in previous years so don’t miss your opportunity, spaces are already filling up!
