I am honored and humbled to see my picture of Colorado wildfire fighter Nick Collard gracing the cover of American Photo Magazine’s “2009 Images of the Year” issue — and to be named the contest’s Grand Prize Winner. The photo is also featured as a 2-page spread as the Extreme category winner. American Photo received over 4,000 submissions for this year’s contest.
